The committee for the Kirkwood Greentree festival asked us to create a new poster for the 2022 event. Each year their festival has a specific theme. This year it is a “cartoon” with the tagline “Kirkwood Cartoon Caravan.” For my characters, I chose squirrels posing as attendees of the festival. The cute little rascals are in the music band, playing Frisbee and on the playground, making BBQ, fishing, and enjoying a picnic; some of the activities people find when they come to the festival. I created a cartoony-looking wordmark in colors that would easily be seen on a lime green t-shirt, the color that the committee has picked for this year. Some of the characters are in a wayfinding system.
